What does it cost to cool a home gym in Central Texas?
A home gym in Central Texas needs reliable cooling and heating. With our flat rate ductless mini split installs, you pay one price per zone: $1,500 for one split, $2,500 for two, $3,500 for three. That includes materials, labor, and a Home Depot run for touch-up paint if needed.
Flat pricing, same everywhere we work
| System | Flat price, installed | Included |
|---|---|---|
| One split (single room) | $1,500 | Indoor head, outdoor condenser, line set, standard electrical, all labor |
| Two splits | $2,500 | Everything above, two zones |
| Three splits | $3,500 | Everything above, three zones |
Every install is wired to code by our TDLR-licensed contractor. Long line-set runs, panel upgrades or unusual mounting can add cost, and we tell you up front, before any work starts. For market context, see our Austin mini split cost guide: typical Central Texas quotes run $3,000 to $5,000 for a single zone.

Sizing a mini split for your home gym
A typical home gym in a garage or spare bedroom holds exercise equipment, generates heat from body activity and machines, and often has limited insulation. For a 200 to 400 square foot space, a single 9,000 to 12,000 BTU mini split usually suffices. Our flat rate of $1,500 covers that one zone install with standard electrical hookup. If your gym also adjoins a second room you want cooled, two zones are $2,500.
The flat price includes everything for a new install: the mini split unit, line set, wiring, mounting bracket, and touch-up paint if needed. No surprise quotes or in-home visits required. Just tell us the number of zones. If your gym needs a very long line set (over 50 feet) or a panel upgrade the house already needed, we state that exception before work starts, never after.
Why a heat pump mini split is ideal for a home gym
A mini split heat pump both cools and heats, so your gym stays comfortable through brutal Central Texas summers and mild winters without a separate furnace. That means one system handles everything. The flat price covers the whole package. Most 1-3 zone installs finish in a single day and are tested before the crew leaves. Our TDLR licensed contractors handle the standard electrical hookup as part of the install.
Industry context: ductless installs commonly run $2,000 to $5,000 per zone on a custom quote. Our flat rate undercuts that range while including materials and labor. For a home gym, you avoid the typical markup and wait of a quote based install. Repairs, service calls, and panel upgrades beyond standard hookup are not part of this price, but we can tell you what to know about those if needed.
Questions
Can a single 1 zone mini split cool a large home gym?
A single 9,000 to 12,000 BTU mini split handles up to about 400 square feet in Central Texas. For a larger gym or one with high ceilings, you may need two zones. Our flat rate for two zones is $2,500.
Does the flat price include mounting the indoor unit on an exterior wall?
Yes. The $1,500 per zone price includes standard mounting on an exterior wall with a short line set. If the unit must go on an interior wall with a very long line set, we will tell you before starting and adjust the price if needed.
What if my home gym is in a garage with no existing electrical outlet?
The flat price includes running a standard electrical hookup from your panel to the mini split. If your panel needs an upgrade that the house already required, we note that exception upfront. Otherwise, no extra charge.
