What to Expect from a Porch Mini Split Installation.

The indoor unit mounts on an exterior wall of the porch. The line set runs through a small hole drilled to the outside, where the outdoor condenser sits on a pad or bracket. Our standard electrical hookup connects the unit to an existing nearby circuit. If the house needs a panel upgrade that is an honest exception we state before work starts, not after.

Our crew includes TDLR licensed contractors who install and test the system the same day. The mini split is a heat pump that cools through brutal summers and heats through mild winters with no separate furnace needed. We only do new installations, never repairs or service calls. Questions

Can a mini split be mounted on a screened porch wall that has existing windows?

Yes. The indoor unit mounts above the windows or on an adjacent wall. The line set exits through a small hole drilled in the wall. We work around window frames and trim to keep the install clean.

What if the line set needs to run a long distance from the porch to the outdoor unit?

Our flat rate covers standard line set lengths. If the run is unusually long we will tell you before starting work. That is one of the honest exceptions we always state upfront.

Does adding a mini split to a porch require a new electrical panel?

Not usually. Most porches have an existing outlet or light circuit that can handle the load. If the house needs a panel upgrade we will let you know before we begin. We do not perform panel upgrades ourselves.
