Those are materials and labor together, wired to code by a TDLR licensed contractor. Anything non standard gets quoted first, before a single tool comes out of the truck: a very long line set, an electrical panel that needs work, a difficult mount, a roof or masonry penetration, disposal of the old equipment. What a Through the Wall Air Conditioner Sleeve Unit Is
A through the wall air conditioner is a self contained cooling box that slides into a metal sleeve set in an exterior wall. The sleeve is a rectangular opening framed into the wall, usually with a metal liner that protects the structure and lets the chassis slide in and out. The indoor face of the unit has a grille, controls and a fan that pulls room air across a cold coil and pushes it back into the space. The outdoor face has another fan, the condenser coil and the compressor. Refrigerant moves heat from inside to outside. Condensate from the indoor coil drains to the outside.
